I was watching the idiot box the other day. An advertisement came on and is usual with me, I have a few favourites. I thought the one that was playing was one of those but was sadly disappointed when they just ran the first half of it. Father, son, and grandmother are all supposedly enjoying Chinese dumplings with chopsticks. The father asks the son if he is up to the task and the former says yes. This is were there is a giant edit and the father says "No!" whilst the dumpling is dropped. Then the females hand comes in with the Bounty to happily clean up the mess. Well folks, the whole little story line was messed up totally because before they gave us this cut up version they had the original. In that take the father and the grandmother both shout out "no!" separately and their bulldog is there with a bass over-voiced "yes", he catches the dumpling, and then they show what the Bounty can do. The shorter version is the toffee without the wrapper but in the longer version you get to eat the toffee. They seem to be doing a lot of hatchet jobs on some of the more entertaining commercials. Bounty had me with
the bulldog but not with this dryer version.
Just take a look at commercials on the Network Stations and you will find a few you enjoy more than others.
