My little girl, Angel, a five year old Shih-Tzu/ Maltese mix, died on the morning of May 3rd, 2018 of, the vet said, either a seizure or a stroke. She was the sweetest little dog anyone could desire; smart, comical and lovable. She was my confident, my companion, my buddy, and my touch-stone to reality.
If anyone thinks a dog is just a dog they are badly mistaken! She learned 'tricks' in record time, could get her own way while making me think it was I that was getting mine, and she kept me active and sane. Her personality was that of an adventurer, a student, a bit of a diva and a clown.
She wanted nothing more than to be my best friend, be affectionate, lively, and sweet. She loved people in general and liked to show her love. Angel never met a person she didn't like, men or women. However, she was very wary of little folk. She would look at me before going for pets to make sure I approved of the person. I told you she was smart.
To say I wish my fur-buddy was still here would be an understatement. I miss her more and more each day. But she has gone over the Rainbow Bridge and I believe I will meet her there when I leave this place.
