There are a small percentage of people on the planet who are trying to make things better. They are some of the Humanitarians, the Naturists, the Christians, those that practice quiet and caring philosophies, the empathetic peoples of the world. Unfortunately they must be matched up against the Vladamir Putins , Barack Obamas, Raul Castro, Xi Jinping, and Rob Fords of the world who are not necessarily doing their best for the global community.
The 'good guys' have to address things that happen within the boundaries of places like Isis, Syria, South Sudan, Iran, Iraq, Israeli - Palestine, Israel - Gaza, Central African Republic, and Donbass. Although it is a thankless arduous task I do not think it is impossible.
If only we could find a guiding light for good that would have some positive effect on such things. We need a Cairine R. Mackay-Wilson, a John Diefenbaker, a Gandhi, a Ellen Louks-Fairclough, a Eleanor Roosevelt, a Lester B. Pearson, a Margaret Thatcher, a Robert Kennedy, a Maya Angelou, a Martin Luther King, a Pearl Bailey, or a John Fitzgerald Kennedy/JFK. I could name off a whole lot more but you get my drift, I am sure.
I would like to see happen now, what I wanted to happen in my activist years back in the 1960's; I would just like to see people accept each other for who they are and work at being a part of real human family. I am; when all is said and done an optimist and hopeful that the world will right itself.
Note: If you don't know who these people are then look them up online at Wikipedia.
*By the way we still have Heavenly Blues, Dahlias, and miniature Roses blooming in Ruth's backyard garden.
The Wee Few Thoughts of Dylan the Dog
I think that it is very important to dance while the nice seasons are here. When the time of the cold stuff is comes, the flowers leave and the ground is white. I myself seriously frolic from the time of the first buds to the time of the leaves. Every chance I get, every time I am outside; I frolic! When the cold comes I want to frolic but it is too slippery; so I have to wait until the buds come again.
