I hope that every day gets better and better for you from New Years Day on. I am not quite as grumpy as our friend above but I have been thinking I ought to make some resolutions for the New Year. However, I realize I usually abandon them by the third or fourth week after the New Year. I think I shall try to pray and do the next right thing in 2018 rather than write down a lot of lofty wishes.
I look back on years gone by and can find myself waxing nostalgically on the good old days. Well it's nice having lovely memories; but one must remember living in the now is what makes the year before us fruitful! Hopefully I do just that in the coming year.
Bearing all that in mind, I do think it is important to look at the past year. Mainly to make this year better by correcting any things that could have been done better or differently last year. I must forgive myself and others for things gone wrong in 2017 and look to the coming year to do better in my life. The years in which I have consciously taken the time to do this have usually turned out well. I have no control over death, acts of God, or things others do but I have got some ability through prayer and contemplation to make my part in life and my decisions better.
I have no control over other peoples decisions or behaviour, nor do I wish to. However, if there are those who choose to drop kick me out of their lives even if I don't wish it so, then so be it, it is sad but I cannot make people relate to me. I wish these particular people well and if they wish to have a sane discussion I am open to the idea. Folks you know who you are and you know where I am.
I wish only that all my dear and kind friends and family make it through another year with me. That we all have a year full of the things that make us happy, the challenges that make us vibrant and the love that keeps us strong.
Have A Very Happy And Prosperous New Year!
Angel's Words of Heavenly Wisdom
I guess if that is Christmas I have had it. My goodie box from the Bark Shop came last week, so I really did not have any packages to open on Christmas morning. But I guess I should not be complaining! Last February did not look so good for me. Come April I had a new friend and a new home. The lady and I get on quite well and we have a great time keeping each other company. She has even taught me some new tricks, although I did know a few when I came here.
I hope all my fellow canines out there had a good Christmas too. I wish everyone a very Happy New Year. If you want a good one be the very best companions you can be and don''t forget, do not bite the hand that feeds you!
That is all for me this time. I wish we had less slippery spots and it wasn't quite as cold but we might as well enjoy whatever weather nature gives us. See you all next time the Lady decides to do a posting.
