I have had a particularly personal "Ah-ah" moment this past week. Suffice to say, I feel more confident and positive than I have in a while. Being pensive is okay, as long as you don't make it a way of life. I have also found, that like Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman", I have always been more of a 'fly by the seat of my pants gal'. I certainly would do well to remember that part of my personality.
With each passing week of this summer, I have learned more and more about my friends and the kind of friend that I am to them. I have also affirmed once again to myself, that no matter what your income is you are always wondering why there is so much month left at the end of it. So I decided that I as a fledgling 'mature woman' needed to only remember two things and maybe once in awhile use them as a mantra of sorts. 1. 'You have it all you just can't have it all at once.' 2. 'Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow. Just so you know; the authors are unknown on both of these quotes. You can thank Professor Patterson for my honesty. I still can hear him say during the sociology of theology classes for the tenth time that day, "Remember Ladies and Gentleman; research, research, and research and this means you have to READ!" He was a marvelous teacher which is unusual in university as most of the Professors thought they were the guest lecturer of the day.
Speaking of University, I got to wondering where all my old professors are today and found that most of them have passed away even though I was a 'mature student' at the time. So I have happily come to a conclusion. By the way, no one I know and love is allowed to die until I have passed away. and I plan to live to be at least 104. But then we all remember that quote, "The best laid plans of Mice and Men often go awry." Especially if those plans are in the domain of Fantasy or Science Fiction. Aw well its back to following my two mantras. That should keep me bright-eyed and busy-tailed.
Wee Few Words of Dylan the Dog
I just wanted to tell all the Doggies out there about a very fashionable article of clothing Ruth bought me. We call them Magic Pants and I wear them inside the house. I am an older dog and my body sometimes has senior moments. Whoopie Goldberg described those moments for humans on her Poise commercials. We enjoy each others company more now. I have a royal blue pair and Mom is getting me some denim pants soon. You can find them here at www.peekeeper.com
That is all I have for now folks . See you again soon.
